Tourists visiting Nepal are eligible for a tourist Visa on Arrival at the Port of Entry (depending on their nationality).
The international visitor visiting Nepal must have a passport which should be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the departure date from Nepal and at least 2 empty pages available in the passport for Immigration stamping and visa. Tourist of the area to acquire visas before they arrive from their nearby embassies of the Nepal government
Tourists holding the passports of these countries need to acquire visas from their nearby embassies of the Nepal Government before they arrive/land in Nepal
- Nigeria
- Ghana
- Zimbabwe
- Swaziland
- Cameroon
- Somalia
- Liberia
- Ethiopia
- Iraq
- Afghanistan
- Palestine
- Syria
- Refugees with travel documents are not eligible for an arrival visa at the Port of Entry.
Gratis Visa (free visa)
- It is issued free of cost in the case of the following categories of Visa Applicants
- Children below 10 years except for US citizens
- Up to 30 days for SAARC citizens (except Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in a given visa year. They are eligible for Gratis on arrival only upon the recommendation of the Department of Immigration, so if you are an Afghan citizen, you can request the concerned institution to invite you to Nepal for the necessary paperwork with the Department of Immigration to get you a gratis visa ‘on arrival’.
